If you have your car or truck for sale then you need to have a bill of sale on hand to finalize the transaction. The bill of sale is often overlooked by people when they are buying or selling a car in a private party transaction. This can be a very costly mistake for both the buyer and seller since the bill of sale will document any terms of the transaction which will protect both the buyer and the seller from the other being fraudulent or deceitful.
